Using CO2 or (carbon dioxide) extracting oils from botanical cannabis material is an interesting process. While there are two methods to the extraction process. Firstly, Subcritical is using low-pressure CO2 with a low temperature. Secondly is supercritical which uses high-pressure CO2 at a high temperature. Using Carbon dioxide as an extraction solvent separates cannabinoids and terpenes from plant material. Although it worse for plant material, the gas will remove dirt from clothes without damaging the clothes.
Because of this, it doesn’t harm the plant as the CO2 passes through it. This includes high pressure at high temperatures. once the gas has been pumped through the plant, The concentrated will pass through a vessel. while passing through an orifice to depressurise. Forcing the oil to drop out of the stream of CO2 into a collecting device. leaving you a product full of terpenes and cannabinoids. While every single plant will contain its very own unique molecular structure.
